Outdoor Yoga, Shared Food & Community Gatherings in Portland
Move your body. Share a meal. Meet your people.
Our story
The Summer Yoga Picnic Series is a recurring outdoor yoga and community event series designed to help us slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the weird and beautiful magic of being alive together. Each gathering combines gental yoga in the park, live music, shared food, fresh air, and intentional community in a relaxed outdoor setting.
We gather to move, snack, laugh, breathe deeply, and remember that life feels a little lighter when we do it alongside other humans.
Whether you come solo, bring your family, or arrive with a picnic dish in hand, you belong here.
Move. Eat. Belong.

Why We Picnic
Life moves fast. Community can feel hard to find. Screens are loud. Schedules are full.
This series exists to create space for something simpler: movement, music, laughter, good food, and genuine connection.
Gathering matters. Food tastes better outside. And humans need humans.
Your Hostess with the Mostess
Hi, I’m Shelby!
As a yogi, I don’t waste time on small talk—so, let’s skip the weather and get straight to the messy stuff. To keep it real, I still navigate my own lifelong journey of trying to feel at home in my skin and quieting the voice of "not-enoughness." Yoga wasn't a quick fix for me, but it became my path to inner freedom, teaching me to meet the struggle with compassion and grace. This path has unfolded in beautiful ways, including the creation of The Yoga Picnic—a space born from my deep love of people, nourishing food, and the magic of sharing meaningful, lived experiences together in community.
My ultimate mission is to help you Live, not just exist. Through a trauma-informed lens, my teaching will equip you with mindfulness tools to quiet the external noise, listen to your own authenticity, and trust your path. I’m here to guide you in finding genuine joy through life's inevitable ups and downs, giving you the space to honor your body and let your true potential unfold.
